According to Motor Trend Magazine, the 2014 Kia Forte was picked as the best all-around car after weighing the contender in each category against what what would best serve the average compact car buyer.  The Forte's combination of performance, fuel efficiency, reasonable pricing, and endless feature list had their judges agreeing it's the best car in this class.

Couple gets 84 MPG in Passat Diesel!

A couple well-known for fuel mileage records on regular roads notched 84.1 mpg in a Volkswagen Passat diesel with six-speed manual.

That high mileage let them go 1,621.1 miles on a single tank of fuel in a three-day ramble through nine states from Houston to Northern Virginia.

That car has a government rating of 31 mpg in the city, 43 on the highway and 35 in combined city/highway driving.

Last year, the Taylors recorded 64.42 mpg in a Chevrolet Cruze Eco.  Its government rating is 28/42/33.

Strategic Vision announces results of the most recent Total Value Index? (TVI). Volkswagen of America was again the best brand in terms of Total Value.
